One day, I saw a woman on social media laying down painter's tape on her bedroom walls to prepare for painting them. She used the tape to make a geometric pattern that looked like triangles being folded in on each other.
I knew I had to involve that pattern in my life somehow.
I was sketching this pattern when I noticed that eventually, it started looking like a helmet...or maybe, an elephant's trunk? That's what inspired this piece.
